Getting Ready in the Lowcountry

Outdoor ceremonies under the oaks are beautiful, but they come with heat, humidity and wind off the water. I prep your skin so your makeup stays fresh and never looks heavy, and I style your hair with the hold it needs to stay put through outdoor photos while still feeling soft and natural.

Many Lowcountry venues are spread out, with getting ready rooms, ceremony sites and portrait spots all in different places. I plan your beauty timeline with your planner and photographer so you’re finished early, relaxed, and ready when it’s time to walk.

Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton. A stunning resort community on the May River, known for its oak lined paths, river views and some of the most elegant weddings in the area.

Hewitt Oaks, Bluffton. A Southern estate venue surrounded by sweeping live oaks, with an open air chapel and romantic outdoor spaces.

Oldfield, Okatie. A private Lowcountry community on the Okatie River, just outside Bluffton, with a river club setting and cottages that are perfect for the bridal party to get ready together.

Do you travel to Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Palmetto Bluff? Yes. I come to your hotel, rental home or venue anywhere in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area, and wedding day travel is included in every package.

Will my hair hold up for an outdoor ceremony by the water? Yes. I plan your style around your venue, the season and the weather forecast, and use products that hold through humidity and breeze without looking stiff.

Do you do previews if I live out of town? Yes, many of my Lowcountry brides are destination brides. We can schedule your preview during a planning trip or the week of your wedding.

Can you handle a large bridal party? yes, I have a team and I do bring an assistant
